Stimato turns jobsite measurements into a clean, professional flooring estimate in a few minutes. Enter room dimensions, add a waste allowance, list your materials, labor, and removal, then print a PDF or copy the estimate into a text or email for your client.
Working in the Salinas / Monterey County or Morgan Hill / South Bay areas? Optional local reference price ranges are available in the Line Items section. They are references only, never quotes, and never fill in a rate for you.
Measure the length and width of each room in feet and multiply them. A 12 ft × 14 ft room is 168 sq ft. Split L-shaped rooms into rectangles, measure each one, and add them together. Stimato does this for every room you enter and keeps a running total.
About 8% is common for straight installs of laminate, vinyl plank, and hardwood. Plan for about 12% for diagonal or herringbone layouts, rooms with many angles, or patterned tile. Stimato defaults to 8% and lets you change it per room.
A clear estimate lists the area in square feet, the material, installation labor, removal and disposal of old flooring, prep work such as leveling, trim or transitions, tax, the total, any deposit, and how long the price is valid. Stimato has a field for each one.
